Afternoon Tea for HK$1
On June 10, the Langham, Hong Kong, will hold an annual 1865 Tiffin afternoon tea event for just HK$1, to celebrate the first-ever serving of afternoon tea 148 years ago, when the Langham, London, started the tradition at only "one shilling six pence". The Langham celebrates the anniversary annually with different themes and this year's is "think pink" in cooperation with Tomas Pink, a leading luxury international shirt brand. The event is a feast of both the tongue and the eye - a luxurious three tiered tea stand and an exhibition of latest fashionable outfits inspired by the seaside, gardens, literature and folklore of the British in a traditional sense. Guests are encouraged to dress in smart casuals with a touch of pink. A HK$2,000 gift will be awarded to the best dressed guest.
The Grand Club
