The government of the Greater Hinggan Mountains prefecture, in Heilongjiang province, recently held an event in Beijing to promote its summer tourism attractions.
At the event, Beijing residents enjoyed an exhibition of the prefecture's specialties, including song and dance performances. And they also joined in games and lucky draws to win gifts.
The prefecture's government is focusings on tourism products such as ethnic group culture, its wetlands, and rafting. And it is striving to improve infrastructure to better serve tourists.
It takes four hours to fly from Beijing to the Greater Hinggan Mountains. And road trip fans can drive through the mountain ranges to Mohe, the northernmost city in China, to explore the border of China and Russia.
