The Economist warns that America risks losing its global legitimacy

In a commentary published on June 6, the London-based financial magazine The Economist said the United States has exploited its position at the center of globalization to assert its power around the world.
The piece, titled "America is deploying a new economic arsenal to assert its power", says the United States has used its arsenal of tariffs and sanctions to block the free flow of goods, data, ideas, and money across borders. It warns that the United States risks losing its legitimacy in the eyes of the world if this continues unchecked.
