Vice-Premier Liu He had a phone call with US Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin on Tuesday evening, the Ministry of Commerce said in a statement Wednesday.
Liu is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chief of the Chinese side of the China-US comprehensive economic dialogue.
They exchanged views on implementation of the consensus made by the two heads of state in Osaka.
Minister of Commerce Zhong Shan attended the call.
