China and the EU agreed on Monday to develop a green partnership and a partnership on digital cooperation by establishing high-level dialogue mechanisms during the China-Germany-EU leaders' meeting.
The meeting, held via video link, was co-chaired by President Xi Jinping, German Chancellor Angela Merkel — whose country currently holds the EU's rotating presidency — European Council President Charles Michel and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
The two sides will establish a high-level dialogue mechanism over the environment and climate and in the digital sector, according to a decision released from the meeting.
