"I'm very happy that China with its 14th Five-Year Plan has established lighthouses which guide the Chinese people into the future," said Klaus Schwab, founder of the World Economic Forum at the Beijing Forum held at Peking University.

Schwab shared eight thoughts relevant to the theme of the forum: the power of collaborative efforts of all stakeholders of global societies, cultivation of all resources, emphasis on long-time aspects rather than short-term situations, technologies of the fourth industrial revolution, global togetherness, building harmony, belief in human beings being virtuous and being benevolent, and opportunity to create a global reset.
