If you have a sweet tooth and are seeking a premium place to gratify your discerning taste buds, Now Mansion is an ideal spot.

Located outside a residential neighborhood in Baiziwan in the capital city's Chaoyang district, Now Mansion has a reservation-only system and service for only one table per dining session.

The high-end dessert house was founded in 2016 by two Chinese, Liu Zheng and Han Zhenyang. Chef Stella Chen, a Le Cordon Bleu graduate with extensive experience as a pastry chef in Michelin-starred restaurants, specializes in creating richly textured desserts using Western ingredients.

The minimalist dessert menu is carefully composed by the chef. Soft flavors are introduced with the first course, followed by an awakening of the taste buds with the second. The third course is an original blend of Western ingredients for a familiar taste, which is then brought back to traditional French with the fourth. The fifth is a refreshing sorbet to neutralize the sweetness of the previous four, and last but not least, the menu rounds out with two savory dishes such as freshly-cut Iberian prosciutto and foie gras from London. This is an interesting twist on the traditional savory-to-sweet Western dining setup, with the last course resonating back to the freshness of the first.

What distinguishes Now Mansion from other dessert establishments is the vintage-style interior setting that takes customers to an 18th-century castle the minute they enter. All furniture is antiques from Europe, dating back more than one century ago. The room, lined with artifacts, is a box of treasures that brings guests back to the Renaissance. Elaborately antique furniture and top-grade luxury utensils enable customers to experience the exquisite life of an 18th-century European aristocrat through all five senses.
