Anti-China lies mislead western public opinion on nation
False accusations and lies concocted by some anti-China politicians have misguided public opinions in some western countries about China, said Guo Weimin, spokesman for the fourth session of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, on Wednesday.
Guo made the remarks at a press conference before the opening of the annual session of the CPPCC National Committee, the nation's top political advisory body.
In recent years, some individual anti-China politicians have discredited and viciously attacked China on some issues, like tracing the source of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as issues related to Xinjiang and Hong Kong, Guo said, adding what they did has negatively affected the western public in their views about China.
