The International Grand Bazaar is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Urumqi, capital of the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region.
Officially opened in 2003, the bazaar is a big marketplace with a variety of stalls selling garments, musical instruments, pottery, jewelry, nuts, fruits and carpets.
The architecture, with a unique blend of local and traditional styles, is also one of the bazaar's standout features.
