Chinese parents are always ambitious for their children, but no one wants their children to change into a learning machine.

By banning on private tutoring and reducing the burden of homework and emphasizing the importance of diagnostic and analytical functions of homework and curriculum knowledge instead of rote learning, the "double reduction" policy will help China build an inclusive and quality learning society.
