Kung fu goes high-tech

The first online test of Shaolin kung fu was held by the Shaolin Temple on Mount Song Henan province, on Wednesday. Under the theme of "Peace and friendship, health and happiness, inherit and share", more than 5,000 competitors from 89 countries and regions were tested via video.
The test, which has seven sections, is an important tradition of Shaolin Temple to measure the progress of its apprentices. Competitors were as young as 3 and as old as 70. Testing will continue until Feb 15.
