Feng said steady progress has been made in IT application of government affairs in China, and the effectiveness of government services has significantly improved. However, there is still much room for improvement in standardization, openness and marketization. The government needs to strengthen their top-level design, improve the standardization of government information construction, streamline approval levels and procedures for data sharing and issue unified guiding principles for authorized use of government information.
He emphasized the fundamental purpose of government information construction is to improve the efficiency of government management and service.
