Aside from borrowing the colors that epitomize the refined aesthetics of the 18th-century Chinese aristocrats, Grace Chen’s new collection also features the exquisite Su embroidery, which is lavishly used by the wealthy Jia clan in Cao’s novel. Originating from East China’s Suzhou, Su embroidery boasts a history of more than 2,000 years.
The Sunday runway show also highlighted GC Girls, all highly accomplished women from various industries.
