I think the significance of this assembly does not only lie in the fact that it is more and more influential in the field of English researchers and practitioners, but also because it has gained strength as an important platform for scholars from different parts of the world to have dialogues and conversations so that the voice of Chinese scholars and researchers is properly heard, properly accepted, and properly understood.

This assembly attracts people in higher education from all over the world, in particular from the Chinese mainland. That creates a venue for people in the mainland, Macao and Hong Kong to connect.
