Resolution highlights mechanism for integrated urban-rural development
The resolution adopted by the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on further deepening reform comprehensively to advance Chinese modernization at its third plenary session has highlighted the importance of improving the mechanism for integrated urban-rural development, a senior official said on Friday.
The resolution states to improve the regular mechanism for preventing relapse into poverty, and establish a tiered and categorized assistance mechanism for low-income rural populations and other less developed regions, said Han Wenxiu, executive deputy director of the Office of the Central Committee for Financial and Economic Affairs.
It also states to establish an inter-provincial interest compensation mechanism between grain production and consumption regions, enhance the mechanism for investment in rural revitalization and cultivate new industries and business forms in rural areas, Han, who is also head of the Office of the Central Rural Work Leading Group, said at a press conference.
