5.0-magnitude quake strikes sea areas near Taiwan's Taitung County: CENC

BEIJING -- A 5.0-magnitude earthquake struck the sea areas off Taiwan's Taitung County at 1:09 pm Thursday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter was monitored at 23.07 degrees north latitude and 121.55 degrees east longitude. The quake struck at a depth of 15 km, said a report issued by the CENC.
