Regional commodity fair opens in Xinjiang

The 15th Kashgar-Central and South Asia Commodity Fair opened on Friday at the Kashgar International Convention and Exhibition Center in Kashgar prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, drawing participants from 40 countries and regions, including Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
The five-day fair has attracted 181 overseas enterprises and 1,120 domestic companies to showcase a wide range of products and foster regional economic cooperation.
An investment promotion was held on the same day, with 18 key projects signed, covering fields including textile and apparel, green mining, new energy and cultural tourism.
