New blue book charts Chinese diplomacy in global affairs
The 2024/25 edition of the Blue Book on the International Situation and China's Foreign Affairs was unveiled in Beijing on Aug 21. This edition examines emerging trends in global strategic dynamics, and highlights China's diplomatic advancements.
The event gathered diplomats, government officials, scholars, and media representatives who underscored the importance of understanding international dynamics from a Chinese perspective to enhance global dialogue. Foreign envoys, including ambassadors from Cameroon and Serbia, praised the book's contribution to fostering peace, stability, and mutual understanding, especially between China and Africa. Chinese experts emphasized China's cooperation with other Global South countries and the vision of a community with a shared future for humanity. Compiled by the China Institute of International Studies and published by the World Affairs Press, this year's edition marks the 20th consecutive year of publication.
