On Oct 13, delegates of the 2nd World Conference on China Studies toured the Party-mass service center at Xuhui riverside and Yuyuan Garden in Shanghai, experiencing the city's democratic practices and its fusion of tradition and modernity. The conference, held from Oct 13-15, draws about 500 global scholars to Shanghai to discuss the rising significance of China studies and international engagement with China.
