The Michelin Guide officially unveiled its full selection for Beijing 2026, along with four individual awards, on Wednesday at Nuo Beijing Hotel.

A total of 99 restaurants are included in the latest edition, with two establishments newly promoted to Two Michelin Stars and three restaurants newly awarded One Michelin Star. The Michelin Mentor Chef Award was also presented for the first time on the Chinese mainland.

This year's selection features 32 Michelin-starred restaurants in total. Chao Shang Chao (Chaoyang) and Xin Rong Ji (Xinyuan South Road) retain the highest distinction of Three Michelin Stars.

In the Two Michelin Stars category, Blackswan, known for its contemporary French cuisine, and Lamdre, focused on vegetable-based dishes, were newly promoted. Jingji, King's Joy, Lu Shang Lu, and Shanghai Cuisine have maintained their two-star status.

The One Michelin Star list welcomes three new restaurants — Chao Shang Chao (Xicheng), Rong Pao, and Seventh Son — bringing the total to 24 One Michelin Star restaurants, covering more than 10 culinary styles.

"Beijing is where history meets innovation, where elegance and tradition are constantly reimagined through modern ideas," said Gwendal Poullennec, international director of the Michelin Guide. "Across the city, we have seen the dedication of professionals who continue to raise standards, inspire emotion, and bring joy to their guests."

The Bib Gourmand selection adds eight new entries, recognizing restaurants that offer quality food at moderate prices. The new additions include Bao Bao Hao, which serves Cantonese clay pot dishes, and My Soup, known for its home-style Cantonese cooking.

Chef Cheng Jixiang of Huai Xiang Guo Se earned the Michelin Young Chef Award. Tyler Chen, from Blackswan, was recognized with the Michelin Sommelier Award, while Wei Wei from Rong Pao received the Michelin Service Award.

King's Joy remains part of the Michelin Green Star community, recognized for its sustainable approach and forward-looking vision in gastronomy.
