New power station opens in Shanghai

A 220-kilovolt power transmission and transformation project located in Shanghai's Lin-gang Special Area, which began operating on Sunday, is the third of the core hub stations in the area in the past five years, laying a solid foundation for energy supply of the special area's key industrial clusters including integrated circuits and high-end equipment, according to the State Grid Shanghai Electric Power Co.
During the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021–2025) period, Lin-gang Special Area saw comprehensive advancement of its power grid in terms of investment scale, facility layout, and supply capacity.
