The Qilu No 1 tourism brand launched a new themed train on Feb 14 at Taishan Station in Tai'an, transforming the train into a moving museum running between Shandong and Hebei provinces. It combines heritage displays with a study tour experience, offering passengers educational entertainment while traveling.

Mobile museum brings heritage to life

The Qilu No 1 tourism train provides an immersive heritage experience. Designed as a "rolling museum and mobile classroom", it showcases seven themed carriages featuring historical artifacts like bronze, jade, and ceramics. Passengers travel through thousands of years of culture across Shandong and Hebei provinces.

AI-powered interactive learning

Two dedicated entertainment carriages merge education with recreation. Carriage A offers interactive games, including cultural relic matching challenges and a treasure hunt that ties the train to museums along the route. Using Doubao AI technology, passengers can scan artifacts or ask questions via video call for expert explanations. Carriage B has a comfortable lounge for relaxation and conversation.

Connecting heritage corridors

Operating daily as the K4016/7 and K4015/8 services, the train connects cultural hubs like Tai'an, Jinan, Liaocheng, and Hebei's Handan. Passengers can explore the Daimiao Temple, Shandong Museum, and Grand Canal culture on this route, creating a corridor between the two provinces.
