Students and teachers from Colorado plant 'Panda Friendship Bamboos' in Chongqing
Strategically located at the intersection of the East Asian and Eurasian–East African migratory routes, Chongqing is the world's only megacity situated along a major raptor migration corridor. Each spring and autumn, it becomes a breathtaking ecological spectacle as hundreds of thousands of raptors migrate through. This unique phenomenon has earned Chongqing the nickname "Eagle City".
According to the organizers, participants in the exchange are involved in the Eagle City: Sino–US Youth Bird-Friendly City Innovation Contest. Over this week, they will visit ecological conservation sites and cultural landmarks in Chongqing, engaging in workshops, art collaborations, and discussions to enhance their understanding of biodiversity and historical heritage.
