US companies leaving China? Data shows the opposite

The notion of US companies leaving China is absolutely not true, said Sean Stein, president of the US-China Business Council, during the China Development Forum 2026 in Beijing. Data shows that investment in certain sectors continues to grow, and partnerships are deepening.
Specifically, he emphasized that the idea that US companies come to China only for the market is outdated. Today, companies come here to innovate with Chinese partners, as well as to tap into the supply chain and access human resources.
