The Chinese Embassy in Japan said on Thursday that it has received three threats in less than a month, while Japanese authorities have not responded effectively.

? March 5: A group claiming ties to former police officers and ex–Self-Defense Forces personnel sent a letter threatening to attack Chinese diplomatic missions in Japan.

? March 24: An active-duty member of Japan's Self-Defense Forces broke into the embassy with a knife.

? March 31: Someone claiming to be a reserve Self-Defense Forces member sent an online message alleging that a remote-controlled bomb had been planted inside the embassy.

More than 40 days have passed since the first threat. The Chinese side has raised the issue nearly 30 times, yet the investigation remains at a standstill.

China has repeatedly urged Japan to speed up investigations, hold those responsible accountable, and ensure the safety of Chinese diplomatic missions and personnel.
