US student finds connection to China through classical poetry

JongMay Urbonya, an HSK Chinese Proficiency Test ambassador from the United States, shared her love for Chinese poetry. She said that although poetry is short, it carries deep emotion and lasting charm. She especially likes Li Qingzhao, a poet from the Song Dynasty, and believes that the delicate feelings in her works remain touching across time.
For her, poetry transcends time, culture and national borders, serving as an important window for her to understand China.
