Chinese tech company Honor Device Co Ltd has unveiled what it called the world's thinnest flagship tablet with tailored support for running AI agents like OpenClaw.

The launch comes amid soaring demand for computational power. According to the latest data from the National Data Bureau, China's average daily token consumption has exceeded 140 trillion as of March. Balancing cloud costs with on?device performance has become a pressing challenge for the entire industry.

To address this, Honor said the MagicPad Pro 12.3 features a newly developed "Linux Lab" – making it the first tablet on the market that supports both Linux and Android systems. The device comes with pre?installed OpenClaw-like on?device deployment skills, which significantly lowers the barrier to local AI model fine?tuning.

Honor CEO Li Jian said, "Objectively speaking, in the past we focused mainly on the mobile phone business. But now we are talking about the AIoT industry – that is, various AI terminals and ecosystems."

Honor said just 4.8mm thick, the MagicPad Pro 12.3 is slimmer than the 13?inch iPad Pro, and weighs only 450g – offering a larger screen than the 11?inch iPad Air while being lighter. The device continues Honor's pursuit of lightness and aesthetics in the premium tablet segment.
