Dreame Nebula NEXT debuts rocket-assisted concept car in US

Dreame Nebula NEXT has unveiled a rocket-assisted concept vehicle alongside a suite of intelligent mobility technologies in the United States, highlighting its push to integrate advanced engineering with artificial intelligence in future transport solutions.

Making its debut on Monday in San Francisco, the concept model, Nebula NEXT 01 Jet Edition, combines an electric powertrain with a dual solid rocket booster system.

According to the company, the system delivers up to 100 kilonewtons of thrust and enables acceleration from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 0.9 seconds under test conditions.

The debut was part of a four-day "DRIVE NEXT" showcase, where Dreame Technology also presented developments across intelligent vehicles, smart home appliances and personal electronics, reflecting its broader "human-car-home" ecosystem strategy.

During the event, the company outlined its "N+1" development philosophy, which emphasizes advancing core technologies before scaling them for commercial use.

Several key technologies were showcased at the event. A fully wire-controlled intelligent chassis system with multi-degree-of-freedom control is designed to deliver rapid response and support complex driving maneuvers while improving energy efficiency.

Dreame also disclosed progress on a sulfide-based solid-state battery, with laboratory energy density exceeding 450 watt-hours per kilogram. The battery is currently in the preparation stage for mass production, said the company.

In parallel, the company presented its view that the industry is transitioning from "software-defined vehicles" to "AI-defined vehicles".

Its large-model-based intelligent agent, Metis, is designed to shift from reactive command execution to proactive assistance in the smart cockpit, including cross-device coordination with home robotics.

Its autonomous driving architecture integrates cockpit, driving and chassis systems. When paired with a customized LiDAR solution, it aims to eliminate driving blind-spots in low-light and adverse weather conditions.

Dreame Nebula NEXT said it will continue to develop its global strategy centered on technological innovation and ecosystem integration, though no timeline was provided for commercialization of the concept vehicle.
