Art project fuses technology, imagination at Guangdong Museum of Art
A cutting-edge mixed-reality art project titled "SURREALITY", by the Center for Metaverse and Computational Creativity (MC2) at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), has been presented at the Guangdong Museum of Art (Bai'etan).
The installation features a digital whale swimming through the gallery and a virtual gateway linking the museum to the HKUST (GZ) campus, offering an immersive experience where art, technology, and education converge.
The project reflects HKUST (GZ)'s cross-disciplinary innovation and highlights the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area?'s pioneering exploration in shaping the future of tech-driven art. The next iteration, "SURREALITY 2.0", will be jointly staged across both the HKUST (GZ) and HKUST campuses.
