Henan massage parlor fire claims six lives

Six people died on Saturday morning as a result of a fire at a foot massage parlor in Lingbao city, in Central China's Henan province, local authorities have said.
According to an announcement, the local fire rescue department received a report of a fire at the Lanfeng Foot Massage Parlor at 6:30 am. While rescue crews arrived at the scene at 6:36 am and had extinguished the open flames by 6:56 am, six people who had been trapped by the fire were later pronounced dead at hospital. Five other people who were rescued survived.
While significant smoke damage was observed at the scene, the cause of the incident is under investigation.
