Linyi seeks closer links with Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region
Cooperation between Linyi and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region has gained momentum in recent years. Since 2023, 486 projects from the region have been launched in Linyi, among which 85 involve Fortune 500 companies and centrally administered State-owned enterprises.
"The advanced industries of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region are highly complementary with Linyi's manufacturing base," said Zhang Baoliang, Communist Party secretary of Linyi. He said the city hopes to work with more universities, research institutes and technology leaders in the region to accelerate innovation.
Local officials said Linyi has the industrial base to absorb more innovation resources. It has built an industrial technology research institute system around 13 key industrial chains, covering areas such as high-end stainless steel and advanced special steel, high-end engineering equipment, and bio-manufacturing.
