21st OVC Expo achieves record attendance
The 21st Optics Valley of China International Optoelectronic Exposition (OVC Expo) concluded its three-day event on May 20, setting a new attendance record with 78,000 professional visitors from over 80 countries and regions, up 13 percent from the previous year.

This year's expo featured nearly 400 leading global enterprises, showcasing over 200 innovative products for the first time. The event offered a comprehensive view of the emerging optoelectronic industry ecosystem characterized by the collaborative development of sensing, transmission, storage, and computing technologies.
The expo hosted 26 high-level specialized conferences, bringing together over 300 academicians, experts, and industry leaders to explore the latest advancements in AI-optics integration.

The scale of the optoelectronic information industry in OVC surpassed 660 billion yuan ($97.04 billion) by the end of 2025. The rise of complete chains spanning optical chips, storage, fiber optics, and modules has boosted Wuhan's industry scale to over 850 billion yuan, making it one of Hubei province's five major trillion-yuan industries.
Standing at a new starting point this year, OVC is committed to its ambitious vision of becoming a "World Optics Valley", striving to build a world-class East Lake Science City, industrial cluster, and technology hub, shining ever brighter on the global stage of science and technology.
