Thomas Konietzko, president of the International Canoe Federation, praised the Bahe River as an ideal venue and said he was convinced that Bazhong would soon become a new international hub for paddle sports.
Hungarian athlete Panna Sinko said she enjoyed the competition and was impressed by the well-designed course, excellent event organization, and local hospitality. "It's my first time competing in China, and I'm very excited because China has a very different culture from Europe," she said.
