Over 350 foreign executives to attend 7th Qingdao Multinationals Summit
More than 350 foreign executives from 36 countries and regions have confirmed attendance at the upcoming seventh Qingdao Multinationals Summit, which will kick off in Qingdao, Shandong province, on June 15, Wen Nuan, vice-governor of the province, said on Tuesday.
The two-day summit, jointly hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and the Shandong Provincial Government, has drawn 435 corporate executives in total, including 355 from overseas and 80 from domestic firms, Wen told a news conference in Beijing.
"This is the first year of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30), and this summit is a major institutional event for multinationals," Vice-Minister of Commerce Yan Dong said. "We'll present China's opening-up policies, market opportunities and innovation space under the plan."
"We will encourage multinationals to deeply integrate into China's industrial, supply and innovation chains, to share the dividends of China's huge market, the fruits of innovation-driven development, and the benefits of institutional opening-up," Yan added.
