Special bus line for farmers launched in Jiangxi
In Jiaxi village of Nanchang, East China's Jiangxi province, many farmers rely on selling fresh vegetables as their main source of income. Farmers here used to struggle to carry heavy loads to the city market, which was time-consuming and exhausting due to inconvenient transportation and long distance from the remote village to Nanchang city.
To solve this problem, local authorities and the bus company have launched a special bus line dedicated to farmers, enabling villagers along the route to sell their fresh produce more easily. Bus attendants are stationed both at bus stops and on the bus to help load vegetable baskets and keep order on board.
With this dedicated bus service, farmers can bring freshly-picked vegetables directly to the city market, which helps them sell faster and earn more.
