Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira will pay a three-day official visit to China starting Sunday.
During the visit, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will host the fifth Foreign Ministerial-Level Comprehensive Strategic Dialogue with Vieira, according to the Foreign Ministry.
China expects the visit to further consolidate political and strategic mutual trust with Brazil, and help with progress in building a community with a shared future, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said on Thursday.
Mao added that China hopes the two countries will demonstrate a sense of responsibility in promoting solidarity and cooperation among Global South countries, and contribute to world peace and stability.
