In preparation for the storm, State Grid Chongqing Electric Power Company had issued a blue alert for heavy rain and then activated a Level-1 flood emergency response as the situation worsened. This involved setting up emergency command centers and coordinating efforts across multiple subsidiary units to mobilize equipment for repairs.
To address the crisis, the Yongchuan subbranch deployed nine repair teams, comprising 460 personnel and 89 vehicles, equipped with power generation and lighting tools. These teams cleared over 20 fallen poles and lines to clear pathways for rescue operations and provide power support to 10 emergency sites. Their efforts led to the repair of the main power lines by 11 pm on Tuesday.
