The China-Russia High-Level Think Tank Forum was held on Monday and Tuesday in Moscow, under the theme "'China and Russia: Cooperation in a New Era' — the 30th Anniversary of the Establishment of China-Russia Strategic Partnership of Coordination". This year's forum held special significance as this year also marks the 25th anniversary of the signing of the China-Russia Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation.

On Monday, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, sent a congratulatory message to the forum, in which he highlighted that through the joint efforts of both sides, strategic coordination between the two countries has continued to deepen, while practical cooperation has achieved both quantitative and qualitative growth, ushering China-Russia relations into a new stage of greater dynamism and faster development.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in his congratulatory message to this forum that Russian-Chinese relations are not bound by ideological frameworks, are resistant to the influence of external factors and not directed against third countries. Russian-Chinese relations act as a major stabilizer in world affairs.

Representatives from the governments of the two countries, academia and relevant institutions participated in the forum. Scholars at the forum noted that both parties should continue to leverage their high-level strategic mutual trust and deepen regional collaboration. They can cultivate new areas of growth in artificial intelligence, the digital economy and green development to enhance bilateral cooperation.

Jointly hosted by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the Russian International Affairs Council, and organized by the Institute of Russian, Eastern European and Central Asian Studies and the China-Russia High-Level Cooperation Think Tank, the forum has been held every year since 2018. Over the years, it has developed into a leading platform for intellectual exchanges between China and Russia, offering policy recommendations that contribute to shaping bilateral agendas.
