A European economic and trade delegation visited Taizhou in East China's Zhejiang province for the Trade and Industry Matchmaking Conference, held from May 29 to 31, aiming to strengthen trade, technology, and cultural exchanges.
The delegation included representatives from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Finland, covering sectors such as pharmaceuticals, automotive engineering, information technology, financial services, and public administration. Participants included executives and representatives from major companies such as Boehringer Ingelheim, Lufthansa, Porsche, and Polestar, with 56 companies from Taizhou taking part in the meetings.
The delegation leader said European companies continue to regard China as an important long-term partner and expressed interest in expanding cooperation in areas such as new energy, smart manufacturing, the digital economy, biomedicine, and automotive components.
The delegation also toured local enterprises, as both sides explored opportunities for future collaboration and industrial matchmaking.
