China welcomes Uruguay's visa-free policy

Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said on Friday that improving travel facilitation between China and Uruguay will help enhance mutual understanding between the two peoples and promote exchanges and cooperation.
Mao made the remarks after Uruguayan Foreign Minister Mario Lubetkin announced on Thursday that the South American country will grant visa-free entry to Chinese citizens.
