Hong Kong stocks close up 0.84% Wednesday

Hong Kong stocks went up 188.66 points, or 0.84 percent to close at 22,611.8 on Wednesday.
With an 83-point higher opening, the Hang Seng Index soon tumbled to the day low of 22,336.07 and lingered at low levels before mounting an effective surge to the day high of 22,638.89.
Turnover expanded to HK$79.4 billion ($9.67 billion).
