The Brazilian government's stimulus package to increase its economy will create tremendous demand for Chinese products and investment, said Charles Tang, chairman of Brazil-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The government of Brazil has planned $130 billion in its economy plan to build railways, highways, airports and ports, according to Tang.

"As one of the BRICs countries, Brazil has a very good relationship with China. And it always welcomes investments as well as products from China," said Tang.

Tang made the remarks on Tuesday in Guangzhou, the capital city of Guangdong province, during the ongoing China Import and Export Fair, which is widely known as Canton Fair.

The chamber brings 200 to 300 Brazilian businesspeople to each session of the Canton Fair, according to Tang.

Tang has even proposed a trade fair in Brazil specializing in Chinese products.

"The chamber has been building a trade link between Chinese exporters and Brazilian buyers for 20 years. And I think it is now just a beginning for both of us to improve the long-existing economic and trade relationship," Tang told China Daily.

Trade between China and Brazil this year will reach $100 billion. Chinese companies invested some $53 billion in Brazil over the last three years, according to Tang.

"As Brazil will host the World Cup in 2014 and the Summer Olympics in 2016, there will be huge demand for Chinese products in the South American country," said Joseph Wong, vice-general manager of Focus Technology Co.

The company's website, made-in-China.com, focuses on building a trading link between buyers from South America and Chinese exporters.

According to Wong, the company will sign an agreement with the Brazil-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry to help Chinese manufacturers better tap the Brazilian market.

"We will hold a large matchmaking meeting between Chinese exporters and Brazilian buyers in the third session of the Canton Fair. Also, we are planning to organize a group of buyers from Brazil to visit some Chinese manufacturers to let them better know products made in China," Wong said.
