As a world leader in communications technology and services, Ericsson believes in the power of mobility. Today we have some 7.8 billion mobile subscriptions in the world, and we forecast that there will be 1 billion 5G subscribers already in 2023.

This year at the Fortune Global Forum in Guangzhou, we hope to discuss with the Chinese government and business leaders on how mobility, newly empowered by 5G and the internet of things, can enable everyone, every business and every industry to not just reach farther than before, but to achieve the once unimaginable. I have no doubt that we as human beings have the ability to make the best of what technology advancement can offer.
