Porsche 911 Targa

This model reshapes the classic 911 Targa invented in 1965. But the 2015 911 Targa has come to the Detroit auto show with a new-school version of some classic tech. Equipped with a 3.4L flat-six engine just behind the rear axle and a seven-speed manual transmission, the entry-level Targa 4 has a maximum power of 257 kW, making the car capable of speeds of 282 km/h at the top end and enabling a 0-to-100 km/h sprint in 4.6 seconds. The Targa 4S, meanwhile, offers 298 kW from a 3.8 L six-cylinder engine, runs to 100 in 4.2 seconds and hits a top "track speed" of 295 km/h.
