China's southern coastal city of Shenzhen recently changed its vehicle control policy to allow local residents who already have a fuel-based car to also have an electric car.
According to Shenzhen authorities, the move is to popularize new-energy cars, reduce energy consumption, cut down on emissions and create a better environment for people to live.
