11. Reminisce at 1931. Situated on Maoming Nanlu bar street, 1931 is trying its best to preserve several brilliant threads of old Shanghai.. 12. Have a brew in Paulaner. Paulaner restaurant, reconstructed from the house of Bai Chongxi, a civil-war period Kuomingtang official , is Shanghai's most famous German restaurant/bar. German-style black beer brewed on location is beyond compare. Paulaner's wooden furniture and stained glass windows come from the old churches of Bayern.
