Brand Promotion kicks off in Zhengzhou

Chinese Brand Promotion activities kicked off in Zhengzhou, capital of central China's Henan Province on August 8, 2006. It is the second stage of the central route of the tour.

Vice Minster of Commerce Wei Jiangguo addressed the opening ceremony at Zhengzhou People's Hall Square. Provincial leaders and representatives from local enterprises and local residents also attended the ceremony.

A three-day activity named "Henan Brand Names Food Exhibition" was launched too. And the "Brand Names Strategy and Henan Food Industry Development Forum" was scheduled for Wednesday morning. Experts of economics, as well as representatives from famous local enterprises, would attend the forum to discuss brand-building development and food industry of the province with members of the tour.

As an important food industry base in China, Henan has more than 19 products entitled as "Chinese Famous Brand Products", like Shuanghui in meat processing field, SanQuan and Synear in fast-frozen foods, and Kingstar beer.
