Fight over chicken ends with prison term for boss

A supermarket boss was sentenced to 18 months in prison over a fight with a customer who complained about the store's grilled chicken.

He also had to pay 11,900 yuan ($1,740) for injuring the customer.

After Hu Chengliang left the store with some chicken last April in Tongzhou, Beijing, he realized the chicken was not the best quality and asked the manager to exchange it, but he refused.

They began to argue and then the manager grabbed a knife in the store and cut the customer.
