Chinese shares open slightly higher Wednesday

BEIJING: Chinese shares opened slightly higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.16 percent to open at 3,119.31 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index added 0.2 percent to open at 12,886.1 points.
