Shiping (Yunnan province): Old Shiping city
Although located in the far south of China, Confucianism had a strong impact on old Shiping city. In the Ming and Qing dynasties, Shiping was famous for the imperial exams. Confucian culture and the ancient buildings make Shiping city an important historic site.
